HealthCard is a Visa Electron Debit Card and is issued by Mercantile Bank Ltd. The cards act as a medical savings account into which you can deposit funds for use at any medical service provider.

Applying for your HealthCard is easy and simply requires you to complete an application form and submit it with a copy of your ID to the HealthCard division of Resolution Health via mail at P O Box 1555, Fontainebleau, 2032.

Application forms are available from the HealthCard division of Resolution Health, on www.healthcard.co.za; or from one of the Resolution Health branches in your area. You can also get secondary HealthCards by simply including the details and submitting copies of the ID documents of the additional card holders. If you already have a HealthCard and want an additional card, you do not have to fill out the whole application form, there is a simplified form that you can complete and submit.

The average turnaround time for the issuing of a HealthCard is just 7 working days, and, your card will be sent to you via registered mail. When the card is mailed, we will sms you a postal tracking number, which will facilitate the collection of the card from your local post office. The information that will accompany your card will give you all the information you will need to use your card and begin saving.
