Sharing your HealthCard savings facility

Having your own HealthCard medical savings account is the ideal way to save for any additional medical expenses; but did you know that you can share your funds with your family through additional secondary cards?

This means that you do not have to be with the person in order for them to access the funds available in your account when paying for medical services. Simply apply for the secondary card by completing the HealthCard application form, and indicating that you wish to obtain additional secondary cards for your account.

You can then give the secondary card to the allocated family member, and they can use it wherever they are, provided there are sufficient funds in the account. This is ideal for family members who are going on holiday, as well as young people who are studying away from home. You can make provision for day-to-day and/or unforeseen medical expenses, with the peace of mind that the funds cannot be used for any other purpose.
