The advantages of applying for a HealthCard are enormous and those
who already have one will agree that it has proven too valuable
not to have. The Healthcard provides empowerment and peace of
mind in times of both unpredictable and routine medical expenses.
Flexibility is also a leading factor as the HealthCard is available
not only to Resolution Health members.
To enhance the benefits of the HealthCard, a credit facility was
introduced, that allows you access to loan amounts of between R
1000 and R 10 000. This useful credit facility allows you even
more freedom and flexibility when it comes to your medical expenses
such as medical scheme shortfalls, co-payments and goods or services
not covered by your medical scheme. HealthCard applications do
not require any credit checks and applications for the credit facility
will be in handled in accordance to the National Credit Act.
Here are a few suggestions on how to make your
HealthCard experience even more rewarding, ensuring that you get
the most out of this
essential medical savings facility.

Once you receive your HealthCard
it is important to contact our HealthCard Department to activate
your card. You will not be
able to utilise your HealthCard otherwise.

When utilising
your HealthCard, please ensure that you always choose the “savings” option
when using the card at a service provider, as it is a medical
debit card.

Please bear in mind that
you can not make a purchase exceeding your available balance.

PIN
numbers are generated automatically and then posted to you.
You are advised to keep your PIN safe, for example you
can store it on your cellphone. However should you forget your PIN, please
notify our HealthCard Team and a new PIN will be ordered.
You will receive your new PIN in about 5 working days.

Members are encouraged
to apply for a debit order facility. This ensures that market
related interest is constantly
earned on your positive balance and you have peace of mind in knowing that
your card is funded regularly.

Should you move premises
or change your cellphone number, be sure to update your contact
details
with our HealthCard
Team so you are kept updated of any withdrawals, information on our latest
campaigns as well as receiving your quarterly statements
promptly.

The HealthCard has proven
to be so significant that many families apply for a secondary
HealthCard. You may apply
for a secondary card for any member of the family who is 18 years or older.
This means that more than one person in the family can have access
to and may enjoy the benefits of the HealthCard. The secondary
card will be linked to one account and you may thereafter also
increase your debit order amount.
